About Seoul City Metro
The inspiration for Seoul City Metro came on an initial trip to Seoul in early 2009. I immediately appreciated the sheer size and complexity of the Seoul subway system and saw an opportunity to make a great iPhone app in a market lacking simple, localised, awesome looking apps.
The Seoul City Metro app is the product of months of planning, research and programming on site in Seoul. If anyone is keen to talk iPhones (or subways!) I'm always found around Itaewon and Starbucks during the week.
It hasn't been a solo project though; I've had lots of help along the way in critical areas like translation, user testing and web development. Those people know who they are - thanks guys!
Seoul City Metro was released on the 9th of December 2009 and there's plenty more features on their way! I plan to continue to update Seoul City Metro and bring the platform 'City Metro Apps' to more cities in the coming months. Make sure to hit me up on twitter -@sirjec
